Your wallet
Two steps. Nothing to install.
one
Plug your wallet into this computer with a cable that carries data.
A charge-only cable lights the board up and the computer never sees it.
two
Open my wallet
I would rather run it from my own disk
Fair, and the whole folder is here for it — the page you just opened is the same page, and
a copy on your disk never asks us for anything again.
Double-click Run it from my own disk.command. The first time, macOS will say it
could not verify it. Nothing is wrong: it says that about every file from anyone who has not
paid Apple to vouch for them, and there is deliberately no name on this. Right-click the file,
choose Open, then Open again. On a newer Mac, go to
System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click
Open Anyway.
You only do that once.
why is there a website at all, if this is my wallet?
Because a page can only talk to a USB board over a secure connection, and a file sitting on your
desktop is not one. The website is, so it works with nothing installed. Your money never goes there:
it is on the board, and the page only reads it.
That does mean we serve you that page and could change it. The copy in this folder is the answer
to that, and it is why the folder exists.
